Ways to pay less
  • Images up to about 2.9 megapixels upscale 2× for the 10-credit minimum, so a 1920×1080 frame at 2× costs 10 credits.
  • If 2× is enough for where the image is going, it costs less than 4×: a 1920×1080 photo is 10 credits at 2× and 29 credits at 4×.
  • The output is capped at 64 megapixels, so no upscale costs more than 55 credits, however large the photo.

What is an AI image upscaler?

An AI image upscaler is a tool that makes a photo larger and fills in detail the original was missing, so edges and textures stay sharp instead of turning blurry. Here you upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 15 MB and choose 2× or 4×. The result is a PNG of up to 64 megapixels. The price depends on the output size and starts at 10 credits.

How to use AI Image Upscaler in 3 steps

  1. Upload the image

Sign in and upload the photo you want to upscale, as a JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 15 MB. Use the original file rather than a screenshot of it.

  2. Choose 2× or 4×

Pick how much larger the image should be. The button shows the price for your photo's size and the factor you chose.

  3. Upscale the photo

Press Upscale photo. The PNG is saved in My Videos when it's ready, and you can download it from there.

What AI Image Upscaler does

2× or 4× in one choice

2× doubles the width and height, so the photo has four times as many pixels. 4× multiplies each side by four, for sixteen times the pixels. A 1024×1024 image becomes 2048×2048 or 4096×4096.

Detail, not just bigger pixels

Ordinary resizing smears pixels into a soft, blocky picture. The AI rebuilds edges, textures and small features so the enlarged photo looks sharp at its new size.

PNG output

Every result is saved as a PNG, which doesn't add compression artifacts on top of the upscale. It's ready for printing, design work or another editing step.

Safe sizes for big photos

The output is capped at 64 megapixels. When a large photo would go past that, the upscaler uses a smaller factor automatically, so a 12 MP phone photo set to 4× comes out at about 2.3×.

Priced by what you get

You pay for the output size, not a fixed fee. Small images cost the 10-credit minimum, and the most any upscale costs is 55 credits. The exact price shows on the button before you start.

Comparison

Why use AI Image Upscaler instead of resizing in a photo editor?

Making an image bigger in an ordinary editor only stretches the pixels it already has. The AI adds detail as it enlarges.

What you can make with it

Print an old or small photo

You have a 1080×1350 photo from a social post and want a sharp A4 print for a frame.

  • Upload the largest copy you have, not a cropped screenshot.
  • Choose 4×: the result is 4320×5400 and costs 20 credits.
  • At that size there are enough pixels for a sharp print at A4 and beyond.
  • Crop to the print shape after upscaling, so the crop keeps the extra detail.

Sharper product images for a store

Your product shots came out at 800×600 and look soft when shoppers zoom in.

  • Choose 4× for a 3200×2400 PNG; at this size it costs the 10-credit minimum.
  • Remove the background first if you want the product on white.
  • Use the same factor for every product so the images match in size.
  • Export a smaller copy for the web from the PNG if your store has a size limit.

Bigger artwork and AI images

An illustration or an AI-made image is 1024×1024, too small for a poster or a wide header.

  • 2× gives 2048×2048 for 10 credits, enough for most screens and social posts.
  • 4× gives 4096×4096 for 15 credits, for posters and large prints.
  • Clean lines and flat colors stay crisp, so line art upscales well.
  • Crop to a banner shape after upscaling to keep as much resolution as possible.

Who it's for

Online sellers

Make small or soft product photos large enough for zoom views, catalogs and ads for your brand.

Designers

Bring low-resolution logos, illustrations and reference images up to the size a layout or print needs.

Creators

Upscale AI-made images, thumbnails and cover art so they hold up on large screens and in print.

Families and hobbyists

Enlarge old scans and small phone photos for frames, albums and photo books.

Tips for the best result

  • Start from the original file. A screenshot or a photo saved from a chat app has already lost detail the AI can't fully bring back.
  • Choose the factor for where the image is going: 2× is plenty for screens, 4× is for prints and large displays.
  • Crop after upscaling, not before, so the part you keep gets every new pixel.
  • Very large photos get a smaller factor to stay under 64 megapixels. A 4 MP image is the largest that gets the full 4×, and a 16 MP image the largest that gets the full 2×.
  • The AI sharpens what's there; it can't recover a face or text that's completely blurred or out of focus in the original.
  • Cutting out the subject too? Remove the background first, then upscale the PNG.

Frequently asked questions

How do I upscale an image without losing quality?

Upload the original file, choose 2× or 4× and press Upscale photo. The AI adds detail as it enlarges, and the result is saved as a PNG to avoid extra compression.

What's the difference between 2× and 4×?

2× doubles the width and height; 4× makes each side four times longer. A 1000×1000 photo becomes 2000×2000 or 4000×4000.

How much does it cost to upscale an image?

From 10 credits, based on the output size. For example, a 1024×1024 image costs 10 credits at 2× and 15 credits at 4×, and no upscale costs more than 55 credits.

What's the largest image it can make?

64 megapixels. If your photo at the chosen factor would be larger, it's upscaled by a smaller factor that fits, for example about 2.3× for a 12 MP photo set to 4×.

Can I upscale an image to 4K?

Yes. A 1920×1080 image at 2× becomes 3840×2160, which is 4K UHD, for 10 credits.

Which file types can I upload?

JPG, PNG and WEBP, up to 15 MB. The result is always a PNG.

Can it fix a blurry photo?

Partly. It sharpens soft edges and adds fine detail, but it can't rebuild a face or text that's completely blurred in the original.

Can I upscale a video too?

Not with this tool. Use the AI Video Upscaler to take a video to 1080p, 2K or 4K.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Google or email; each job costs credits from your balance, and the result is saved in My Videos.

What if a job fails?

If a job can't finish, the credits it used go back to your balance automatically.
