How to make a Halloween AI photo in three steps
Choose a style
Filter by category or search by name, then tap a card. The large preview shows the look you’ll get.
Upload your photo
Add one clear photo of yourself. For couples styles, add one photo of each person in its own slot.
Generate and download
Check the price on the button and generate. Your 2K portrait is ready in about a minute and saved to your library.
How the generator works
Every style is a hand-written photoshoot brief: wardrobe, props, set, lighting and framing, plus rules that keep costume makeup visibly cosmetic and every scene free of gore and injuries. When you generate, we combine that brief with identity instructions and send it with your photo to OpenAI’s GPT Image 2.5 model at high quality. You choose the style; the detailed recipe stays on our servers.
The model uses your photo as an identity reference, preserving facial proportions, age, eye color, skin tone and natural skin texture, then builds a brand-new photograph around you. It isn’t a filter or a face swap onto a stock image, so poses, outfits and backgrounds are generated fresh each time and two runs of the same style will differ.
Couples styles need two photos
The 10couples styles put two people in one coordinated scene, like a vampire ballroom, a pirate pier or a pumpkin farm walk. They need two reference photos: Person 1 and Person 2, one person per photo. With separate references the AI can keep two distinct identities and is told never to blend, swap or duplicate faces. A single photo of two people won’t work as a substitute, so the generator asks for both before it starts.
Halloween AI trend prompts to copy
Prefer to write your own? Paste one of these Halloween AI photo prompts into the AI image generator with your photo attached, then change the costume, set or lighting to make it yours. Each one asks the model to keep your face, so the result still looks like you.
- Pumpkin head photoshoot: The person in the reference photo in a golden autumn field with hay bales, flannel shirt and jeans, holding a carved jack-o'-lantern head in both hands as if they just lifted it off, tousled hair, warm backlight, shallow depth of field, film photo, same face.
- Bedsheet ghost photoshoot: The person in the reference photo wearing a white bedsheet draped like a hood with the face uncovered, round black sunglasses on top, two bedsheet ghosts with sunglasses beside them, autumn orchard at golden hour, soft film grain, keep their face unchanged.
- VHS Halloween party: 1990s VHS camcorder still of the person in the reference photo at a living-room Halloween party in a homemade costume, carved pumpkins and orange string lights, date stamp in the corner, soft tape blur and color bleed, candid smile, same face.
- Velvet vampire portrait: Portrait of the person in the reference photo as an elegant vampire, deep red velvet high-collar coat, pale cosmetic makeup, candlelit gothic hall behind, soft warm rim light, 85mm lens, photorealistic, keep their face unchanged.
- Witch in a pumpkin patch: The person in the reference photo as a modern witch in a black wide-brim hat and long knit cardigan, standing in a misty pumpkin patch at golden hour, lanterns glowing, shallow depth of field, editorial photo, same face and hair colour.
- Retro Halloween party snapshot: 1980s flash photo of the person in the reference photo at a house Halloween party, homemade skeleton costume, paper bats and orange streamers behind, direct on-camera flash, slight film grain, candid smile.
- Skeleton face paint: Close-up beauty portrait of the person in the reference photo wearing clean black-and-white skeleton face paint, clearly cosmetic, dark studio background, soft key light, sharp detail, no gore.
- Haunted manor movie still: Cinematic still of the person in the reference photo holding a candelabra in the doorway of a foggy Victorian manor at night, moonlight through the trees, cold blue grade, wide 35mm frame, their face clearly recognisable.
- Autumn fairy: The person in the reference photo as an autumn fairy with a crown of red and orange leaves, soft glowing wings, forest clearing at dusk with fireflies, dreamy backlight, fantasy portrait, natural skin texture.
Photo tips for the best results
- Use a recent photo with your face clearly visible and in focus.
- Soft daylight or even indoor light works better than harsh flash or strong shadows.
- Remove sunglasses, hats that shade the eyes and anything covering the face.
- One person per photo. For couples styles, upload two separate photos.
- Skip beauty filters; the AI keeps more of your real features from an unfiltered photo.
- Phone photos are fine: JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 50 MB, and large photos are resized automatically.
Output size and pricing

Frequently asked questions
What is the AI Halloween trend?
It's the wave of AI-made Halloween portraits on TikTok and Instagram: people add a selfie to an AI image tool such as Gemini or ChatGPT with a Halloween prompt and post the result, from costume portraits and VHS-style party snaps to Ghostface photos. This season it also covers AI takes on the viral pumpkin head and bedsheet ghost photoshoots.
How do I do the Halloween AI trend?
Pick one of the 69 styles on this page, upload a clear selfie and generate. There's no prompt to write: each style already carries the costume, set and lighting. If you'd rather write your own, copy one of the Halloween AI prompts below into the AI image generator with your photo attached.
What is the Halloween AI Photo Generator?
It's a Trendai.video tool that turns one ordinary photo into a realistic Halloween portrait. You choose one of 69 styles, upload a clear photo, and the AI dresses you in the costume, makeup and scene of that style while keeping your face recognizable.
How many photos do I need to upload?
One photo for every style except the 10 couples styles. Couples styles need two separate photos, one of each person, so the AI can keep both identities apart.
Will the result look exactly like me?
The AI is told to keep your facial proportions, age, eye color and skin tone, and most results are clearly recognizable. It can't promise an exact match: heavy makeup styles, dramatic lighting or a blurry source photo can change how much of you comes through. If a result misses, try a sharper, front-facing photo.
What size are the images?
Each generation produces one high-quality 2K portrait: 1536 × 2048 pixels in a 3:4 vertical format, delivered as a JPEG. That fits Instagram posts, TikTok and Stories covers, and prints well at common photo sizes.
How much does it cost?
Every style costs the same: 57 credits per image. The price is shown on the Generate button before you start, and if a generation fails the credits are refunded automatically. Credits come with a subscription or a credit pack.
Which photos work best?
A sharp, well-lit photo of one person with the whole face visible works best. Face the camera or turn slightly, avoid sunglasses, masks, hands over the face and heavy filters, and use a photo where the face fills a good part of the frame.
Can I make a Halloween photo with my partner or a friend?
Yes, with a couples style. Upload one photo of each person in the two slots. Don't upload a single photo of both of you together: separate references are what keep each face distinct and stop the AI from blending them.
Are the Ghostface styles official?
No. They're unofficial, fan-inspired Halloween styles. Trendai.video isn't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the owners of the Scream films or the Ghostface character and costume. In these scenes your face stays uncovered, and Ghostface is always a separate character.
Can I upload photos of other people?
Only with their permission, and never photos of minors. Don't use the tool to impersonate or embarrass anyone. Our terms of service apply to every upload, and the image model's safety filters reject requests that break content rules.
Where do I find and download my photos?
When a generation finishes you're taken to the result, where you can download it. Every result is also saved in My Videos, your library, so you can download it again later.
