Ways to pay less
  • Price is per started minute, so trimming a 2:10 video to 2:00 lowers it from 1,530 to 1,020 credits.
  • Captions add 15 credits per started minute. Leave them off if you'll upload your own subtitle file.
  • Test the language on a 1-minute cut first (510 credits) before dubbing a 10-minute video (5,100).

What is an AI video translator?

AI Video Translator is a tool that dubs the speech in a video into another language while keeping the speaker's own voice. You upload a video or audio file up to 10 minutes and pick one of 20 languages, such as Spanish, Japanese, Arabic or Hindi. You don't need to name the original language. The AI transcribes the speech, translates it and speaks it again in a voice close to the original. It can also add captions in the new language.

Start from an example

How to use AI Video Translator in 3 steps

  1. Upload the video to translate

Sign in and upload a video or audio file of you speaking: MP4, MOV or WEBM up to 200 MB, or MP3, WAV or M4A, up to 10 minutes. Use only recordings of yourself or ones you have permission to use.

  2. Pick the language and captions

Choose the language to translate the video into, and decide whether you want captions in that language burned into the picture.

  3. Translate the video

Press Translate video. The price is on the button. It usually takes a few minutes, and the dubbed file is saved in My Videos.

What AI Video Translator does

Dubbing in the speaker's voice

The new audio isn't a stock voice reading a translation. The AI speaks the translated lines in a voice modelled on the person in the recording, so a Spanish version of your video still sounds like you.

20 languages to choose from

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Russian, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Swedish and Filipino.

Captions in the new language

Switch on captions and the dubbed speech is transcribed and burned into the video in a bold word-highlight style at the bottom of the frame. People watching with the sound off can still follow along. Captions add 15 credits per started minute.

Video or audio in

Upload a video and you get an MP4 with the dubbed sound, at the highest resolution the dubbing step offers. Upload an audio file, like a podcast segment or a voice note, and you get an MP3 back.

No script needed

You don't type or upload a transcript. The source language is worked out from the recording, and the translation is made from what is actually said.

Comparison

Why use AI Video Translator instead of hiring a translator and voice actor?

A dubbed version usually means a translated script, a voice actor in each language and an editor to put it back together. Here it's one upload.

What you can make with it

A Spanish version of your tutorial

Your 5-minute English how-to does well, and you want to reach Spanish-speaking viewers without recording it again.

  • Upload the final edit with your voice clear above any music.
  • Choose Spanish and switch captions on, so the video also works with the sound off.
  • Watch it once in full before you post. Check names, numbers and on-screen text, which isn't translated.
  • Post it as a separate upload, or add the dubbed audio as an extra language track where the platform allows it.

A product demo for a new market

You recorded a 2-minute walkthrough of your own product and want versions in German and Japanese for your brand's pages.

  • Keep the demo short and focused; each language is a separate job priced per started minute.
  • Run German first, review it, then run Japanese from the same original file.
  • Leave captions off if the page player already shows subtitles.
  • Keep the original English file in My Videos as the master for future languages.

A short Reel for viewers abroad

A 45-second talking-head Reel can reach people in other countries if it speaks their language.

  • Under a minute is priced as one minute: 510 credits, or 525 with captions.
  • Pick a language your analytics show you already reach, such as Portuguese or Hindi.
  • Turn captions on. Short vertical videos are often watched muted.
  • Speak slowly in the original. Fast speech gives the dub less room and can sound rushed.

Who it's for

YouTubers and educators

Publish tutorials, lessons and explainers in more languages in your own voice, without recording each one again.

Short-form creators

Repost a Reel, TikTok or Short for viewers in another country, with captions in their language.

Small brands and founders

Turn your own product demo or founder message into versions for new markets for your brand's site and socials.

Podcasters

Upload a podcast segment as audio and get an MP3 dub in another language to test with a new audience.

Tips for the best result

  • Use only videos of yourself, or videos where the speaker has given permission. No public figures, and don't use the dub to make anyone appear to say something they didn't.
  • Clear speech gives the best dub. Loud music, wind or crowd noise under the voice makes the transcription and the voice match less accurate. Clean it up first with the AI Audio Enhancer.
  • One or two speakers taking turns works best. Several people talking over each other is hard to separate.
  • Text in the picture, like titles and slides, stays in the original language. Keep it minimal, or edit it separately.
  • Translated speech can run longer than the original. Leave a little room between sentences when you record.
  • Review the result before you publish, especially names, numbers and technical terms.
