Ways to pay less
  • The price follows the new audio, not the video: every job starts at 600 credits on Standard (up to 14 seconds of speech), whether the clip is 15 seconds or 2 minutes, so one longer line costs less than several short jobs.
  • Standard costs about 40% less than Pro: a full 60 seconds is 2,550 credits against 4,250.
  • Above the minimum a script is priced by its length, so cutting a 300-character script to 150 lowers Standard from 1,126 to 611 credits.

What is AI lip sync?

Lip Sync is a tool that changes the mouth movements of a person in a video so they match new audio. You upload a clip up to 2 minutes where one face is clearly visible. Then you either upload a new recording up to 60 seconds or type a script of up to 800 characters and pick one of 22 AI voices. The AI redraws the lips frame by frame to fit the new words. It's for videos of yourself or of people who gave permission.

How to use Lip Sync in 3 steps

  1. Upload the speaker's video

Sign in and upload an MP4, MOV or WEBM up to 2 minutes and 200 MB, with one face clearly visible. Use only videos of yourself or with the person's permission.

  2. Add the new audio or a script

Upload a recording of up to 60 seconds, or type what the person should say and pick a voice. Choose Standard, or Pro for close-ups.

  3. Sync the lips

Press Sync the lips. The price is on the button. The lip sync video is usually ready in a few minutes and is saved in My Videos.

What Lip Sync does

New words, matching lips

The AI works on the mouth area of the existing footage, so the person's face, clothes, background and camera move stay as they were. Only the lips and jaw change to fit the new sound.

Your recording or a typed script

Upload an MP3, WAV or M4A of the new line, up to 60 seconds, or type up to 800 characters for the AI to read. If you do both, the typed script is used.

22 AI voices

Scripts are read in one of 22 built-in AI voices, from Rachel's calm narrator voice to Charlie's natural Australian male or Bill's older, trustworthy tone.

Standard or Pro

Standard gives accurate lip sync for most talking-head clips. Pro costs more and gives sharper detail around the mouth, which shows in close-ups and on large screens.

Priced by the new audio

You pay for the length of the new speech, not the video. Standard is 600 credits for anything up to 14 seconds of new speech, then 43 credits a second, even on a 2-minute clip.

Comparison

Why use Lip Sync instead of reshooting the scene?

Changing a line on camera usually means setting up the shot again and getting a new take. Here you keep the footage and change the words.

What you can make with it

Fix a fluffed line without reshooting

You filmed a 40-second piece to camera and said the wrong date in the middle. The light is gone and you can't film it again.

  • Record the corrected line in your own voice, in the same room if you can, so it sounds the same.
  • Cut the video to the part with the mistake, at least as long as the new recording.
  • Run it on Standard, then drop the fixed section back into your edit.
  • Use Pro if the shot is a tight close-up of your face.

Several versions of one product video

You have one clip of yourself presenting your brand's product and want three openings for different offers.

  • Write each opening as a short script, one to two sentences.
  • Pick one AI voice and use it for all three, or upload your own recordings so the versions match your real voice.
  • Keep each line under 15 seconds. A 150-character script is 611 credits on Standard.
  • Compare the three in My Videos and post the strongest one.

Match your lips to a translated voiceover

You have a voiceover of your own video in another language, and the mouth movements no longer match.

  • Use a section up to 60 seconds; the new audio can't be longer than that.
  • Upload the translated audio as the new recording, not as a script.
  • Make sure the video runs at least as long as the audio, or the end of the speech is cut.
  • For whole videos, the AI Video Translator dubs in your own voice in one job.

Who it's for

Video creators

Correct a mistake, update a date or change a call to action in a talking-head clip without setting up the shot again.

Small brands and founders

Make several versions of one presenter clip of yourself, each with a different line for your brand's ads or pages.

Educators

Update one sentence in a recorded lesson when a fact changes, and keep the rest of the video.

Multilingual creators

Line up your lips with a voiceover you recorded in another language, so the dubbed clip looks natural.

Tips for the best result

  • Use only videos of yourself, or of people who agreed to it. No public figures, and never use lip sync to make someone appear to say something they didn't, or to mislead anyone.
  • One face, facing the camera, well lit. Side profiles, hands over the mouth, a microphone in front of the face or several people in the frame give weaker results.
  • Use a clip at least as long as the new audio. The result ends when the shorter of the two ends.
  • For your own recording, speak close to the microphone in a quiet room. Music or noise under the voice makes the mouth movements less precise.
  • Footage where the person is already talking works better than a still, closed-mouth shot. The natural head and jaw movement helps.
  • Write scripts the way they should sound: short sentences, commas for pauses, numbers spelled out if they're read a certain way.

Frequently asked questions

How much does lip sync cost?

It depends on the new audio's length and the quality. Each job has a minimum of 600 credits on Standard and 1,000 on Pro, which covers up to 14 seconds of speech; above that it is 43 or 71 credits a second, up to 2,550 and 4,250 for a full minute. A typed script also includes the AI voice.

How do I lip sync a video to new audio?

Upload the video of the speaker, then upload the new recording or type a script and pick a voice, and press Sync the lips. The result is saved in My Videos.

How long can the video and audio be?

The video can be up to 2 minutes and the new audio up to 60 seconds. A typed script can be up to 800 characters, about a minute of speech.

Can I use my own voice?

Yes. Upload a recording of your own voice as MP3, WAV or M4A, up to 60 seconds. If you also type a script, the script is used instead.

What is the difference between Standard and Pro?

Pro gives sharper detail around the mouth, which shows in close-ups. Standard is about 40% cheaper and works well for most clips.

What happens if the audio is longer than the video?

The result is cut to the shorter of the two. Use a video at least as long as the new audio so no words are lost.

Can I lip sync a video of someone else?

Only with their permission. Public figures aren't allowed, and the tool must never be used to mislead people about what someone said.

Does it work with more than one person in the shot?

It works best with one clearly visible face. With several faces, the AI may change the wrong person's mouth.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Google or email; each job costs credits from your balance, and the result is saved in My Videos.

What if a job fails?

If a job can't finish, the credits it used go back to your balance automatically.
