Ways to pay less
  • The price is 40 credits per started minute, so trimming a 3:05 song to 3:00 saves a full minute (160 credits down to 120).
  • Four stems cost the same as two, so pick 4 stems if you might need drums or bass later rather than running the song twice.
  • Need only the chorus? Upload just that section; a 45-second clip costs 40 credits.

What is an AI vocal remover?

An AI vocal remover is a tool that separates the voice in a song from the instruments, so you can hear and download each part on its own. On Trendai.video you upload a song or a video of up to 10 minutes and choose two outputs, an instrumental and the isolated vocals, or four stems: vocals, drums, bass and everything else. Each part comes back as an MP3. Use it only on songs you have the rights to use.

How to use Vocal Remover in 3 steps

  1. Upload the song or video

Sign in and upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or other audio file, or an MP4, MOV or WEBM video, up to 10 minutes long. Only use songs you have the rights to use.

  2. Choose how to split it

Pick Instrumental + vocals for karaoke and acapellas, or 4 stems for drums, bass and the rest as separate files. The price is the same either way.

  3. Remove the vocals and download

Press Split the song. The vocal remover usually takes a few minutes; you can leave the page. Download each MP3, or find them later in My Videos.

What Vocal Remover does

Instrumental and vocals in one job

Pick Instrumental + vocals and you get two MP3s: the backing track with the singing taken out, for karaoke or a cover, and the vocals on their own, for a remix or a practice reference.

Four stems when you need more

Pick 4 stems and you also get drums, bass and a track for everything else: guitars, keys, synths and pads. Mute the part you play and practise along with the rest of the band.

The instrumental is rebuilt from the stems

The AI splits every song into vocals, drums, bass and other, then mixes the three non-vocal stems back together with a limiter, so the instrumental keeps its full low end instead of sounding hollow.

Works on videos too

Upload an MP4, MOV or WEBM, such as a rehearsal filmed on a phone. The tool reads the soundtrack and returns audio files; a video without sound is turned away before you're charged.

One price per minute, two or four stems

It costs 40 credits per started minute of your upload, whichever split you choose. The form shows the exact price as soon as the file is uploaded.

Comparison

Why use Vocal Remover instead of center-channel removal in an audio editor?

The old trick of cancelling the middle of a stereo mix takes the bass and kick drum with the voice. The AI separates each part instead.

What you can make with it

A karaoke track of your band's own song

Your band recorded a demo and you want a sing-along version for a gig, a lyric video or a fan singing challenge.

  • Upload the finished mix, not a rough phone recording, so the voice and instruments are clearly separate.
  • Choose Instrumental + vocals and use the instrumental as the karaoke track.
  • Keep the vocal MP3 too: it's a handy guide for the singer learning the part.
  • To post the instrumental as a video, add a picture or waveform with MP3 to MP4.

Practising bass or drums along with a recording

A musician learning a part wants to hear the song without their own instrument, then hear that instrument alone to check what's being played.

  • Choose 4 stems to get vocals, drums, bass and other as separate MP3s.
  • Load the stems into any audio or practice app and mute the part you play.
  • Solo the bass or drum stem at a slower speed in your player to work out a tricky fill.
  • Find the tempo for your metronome with the BPM Finder.

Remixing or re-voicing your own track

A producer wants the acapella from an old song they made to build a new arrangement, or a clean backing track to record a new vocal over.

  • Upload the song you made, up to 10 minutes, as audio or a video export.
  • Use the vocal stem as the acapella in your project; expect some room reverb to come with it.
  • Use drums and bass separately if you want to keep the groove and replace the chords.
  • Trim the upload to the section you need first: you pay per started minute.

Who it's for

Singers

Make a backing track from a recording of your own song for rehearsals, covers of your own material and live sets.

Musicians and students

Split a song you have the rights to use into stems and practise your part with the rest of the band playing.

Producers

Get acapellas and drum, bass and melody stems from your own older mixes when the project files are lost.

Video creators

Pull the music bed out from under a vocal, or the vocal out of a song, to rework the soundtrack of a video you made.

Tips for the best result

  • Upload the best copy you have. A WAV or high-bitrate MP3 separates more cleanly than a song recorded off a speaker.
  • Heavy reverb, echo and stacked backing vocals are the hardest parts. A faint trace of the voice can stay in the instrumental on those mixes.
  • Live recordings with crowd noise split less cleanly than studio mixes; the crowd often lands in the vocal or other stem.
  • The Other stem holds everything that isn't vocals, drums or bass, so guitars, piano and synths come out together, not one by one.
  • Results are MP3 audio even when you upload a video. Put the instrumental back on your clip in any editor.
  • Use only songs you have the rights to use: your own recordings, or music you have permission to work with.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove vocals from a song?

Upload the song to the Vocal Remover, choose Instrumental + vocals and press Split the song. You get the instrumental and the isolated vocals as two MP3s.

How much does the vocal remover cost?

40 credits per started minute of your upload, the same for two or four stems. A 2:10 song costs 120 credits, a 3:30 song 160 and a 10-minute file 400.

Can I get just the vocals (an acapella)?

Yes. Every job returns the isolated vocals as an MP3, whether you choose two outputs or four stems.

What are the 4 stems?

Vocals, drums, bass and other. Other holds everything else, such as guitars, keys, synths and strings, in one file.

Can I remove vocals from a video?

Yes. Upload an MP4, MOV or WEBM up to 10 minutes and the tool reads its soundtrack. You get audio files back, not a new video.

How long can the song be?

Up to 10 minutes. Cut longer recordings into parts, or trim to the section you need.

Will the instrumental be perfectly clean?

Usually it's close, but not always perfect. Strong reverb, echo or layered backing vocals can leave a faint trace of the voice.

Can I use it on any song?

No. Use it only on songs you have the rights to use, such as your own recordings or music you have permission to work with.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Google or email; each job costs credits from your balance, and the result is saved in My Videos.

What if a job fails?

If a job can't finish, the credits it used go back to your balance automatically.
